I can't sleep at dark, what do I do?
On average I go to sleep a little after the sun comes up. That's doomed to failure. :( I take sleeping pills sometimes but they don't really work that well. Anything else I can do?
Answer: I can't sleep at darkness either but it is because I work nights and even on my days bad I have the same sleep diary. If that is not the case, do you sleep abundantly during the day? If sleeping at night is what you want your diary to be you might try melatonin. You get it at the health food store. It works short the side effects of sleeping pills. Sleeping pills usually don't give you a restful sleep. What ever you do don't sleep during the day..
I'd suggest more exercise if you are not completely active.
If that doesn't help try using the time creatively similar to writing, studying, journaling. Journaling especially if you can't sleep because you are a thinker.
Try not to get over-involved in the sleeping pill cycle because it is only a belt aid solution. Also look into any sleeping disorders.
I have an 8 year old who is a non sleeper and occasionally goes to sleep before 11pm and is up at 7:30am. As soon as he go to bed at 8:30pm his mind starts ticking over and he has to get up and create. (he does it so we don't hear LOL). Some folks just can't sleep but sleep is important..
Firstly, try to limitation your other activities in the bedroom, so that your mind will condition itself to bedroom=sleep.
Secondly, drink some heat up milk or chamomile tea before sleeping, hopefully before 11 pm..
try a express w-nk before rolling over to sleep this sometimes helps I used to hold the same problem so all i did be sit ups till i got tired and then i would stumble asleep realy easy. hope this helps..
