I cant sleep ive been trying for hours what can i do ? i really need to sleep
Answer: The most common method is definitely to make yourself tired, and definitely things like exercising and reading will definitely help.
The main reason for not getting a good sleep or not being able to sleep is that you are too tensed. Always remember that even if you are able to sleep, you need to ensure a good sleep. Activities like extensive gaming before bedtime definitely kills your sleep.
It could also be environmental issues that is disturbing you from your sleep, which includes more commonly noise, heat and anxiety. Thus it is most important to remain relaxed while trying to sleep.
Drinking does help, but not extensive drinking for sure. Some people do take a glass of wine to make themselves feel tired before sleep.
If need be, consult a doctor and obtain some sleeping pills.
Remember that catching a sleep is most important as you reconstruct your memory (basically arranging information for easy retrieval, just like defragmentation in computers) while you are asleep. It will improve your "system" performance for sure. Good luck..
Exercise will only stimulate you. It's true that turkey and milk have an ingredient (trip.), which will aid in falling asleep. Reading is one of the best things to tire the mind and body. As well, do not eat four hours before you retire (other than some turkey, warm milk or a small banana), and have no caffeine at least six hours before. Fresh sheets and blankets and a cool house help with breathing and therefore aid the sleeping process. Soft elevator music helps and a must is to have the room Completely dark, even the computer off makes a difference. Put your problems for the next day on the 'Brain Train' and they will be returned to you in the morning to be dealt with. Ni-night & sleep tight. Mary. I would suggest first going to the doctor and seeing if you have any sleeping disorder and the cause of this. I think most of this kind of problems (insomnia, headaches or migraines, etc) are because of the daily stress. I’m going to suggest some natural remedies that had been working on my family for years.
There’s an oil that my mother-in-law uses named Melissa bath essence (relaxing and soothing), she’s supposed to take a bath whit this oil but she doesn’t really have the time for the 15 minutes bath so what she does is to put her feet into a warm water container (the hottest you can handle the better) for about 10 minutes and puts about 5 drops of this oil into the water and while she does this, she’s checking up her emails or watching some tv show. Then immediately she goes to sleep. She suffered insomnia for many years and at the beginning she used to add into the water about 5 drops of an oil named “ant-stress” for a few months, then she didn’t needed it anymore and uses just the Melissa oil.
I have a two years old son that used to sleep into my husband’s and my bed and I made the transition to his own bedroom and crib. He awakes several times in the night so I tried the Melissa oil as well. Every night I give my son’s his last bottle and while he’s drinking I rub ONE drop of this oil into his soles of the feet and since then he sleeps so tight ‘till next morning. I’m not afraid of using this because this is a natural product that doesn’t develop dependence.
These oils are concentrated so a few drops works perfectly and last for ever!

I went through that for about 5 months it was awful I know where your coming from. I found an article that told me to start to settle down an hour and 1/2 before sleeping don't get on the internet don't read a book don't watch tv just start winding down get ready for bed take a shower whatever. some times sleeping is hard because our brains won't shut up. Just start to get into the mood for bed, and do things that take little brain activity I hope this helps! Try going into a dark room, no TV or music. Try reading a book for a while untill you get sleepy. Drink a cup of herbal tea and try and drift off. Sweet dreams!.
Try reading, even if its a good book, you eyes will eventually become tired and you'll have to shut them, then you'll just fall asleep WELL IF IT WILL HELP YOU CAN PUT ON SOME MUSIC THAT WILL RELAX YOU AND LAY DOWN AND JUST CLOSE YOUR EYES AND LET THE MUSIC TAKE YOU AWAY..
I've been told sex wears you out, but being single, I'm not really willing to find out.
Actually, a dish of ice cream is both yummy, and helps you relax. Eat just before bedtime.
.
You can exercise hard, then later, you'll feel tired 5 shots of tequila.

it helps me alot.
