I get a bee sting how do i catch rid of the swelling?
my middle finger got stung and for some reason my fingers beside it and the knuckle element is swollen as well.
and as im typing this i swear its gettin bigger.
am i allergic? and how can i get the swelling walk down?
Answer: I have been keeping honey bees for several years very soon and i feel pretty confident about answering this one. Some form of benidryl or antihistamine will give support to with the itching and possibly the swelling if taken soon after the sting. You will receive lots of input about thinngs resembling meat tendorizer, tobacco,baking soda an other topical treatments. they are all just wives tale. I have tried and none seam to work. the venom of a wasp is different than that of a honey bee. a honey bees toxin is an irritant used to defend the hive while a wasps venom is used to snuff its prey. My best advice is to not rub or scratch and agree to it run its course. it is normal for it to be sore for a coupel of days

Put a raw potato on it =) Don't ask, that's a short time ago what my grandma did for me when I was attacked by a swarm of hornets. She cut up raw potatoes on my hindmost and it made it itch less and made my swelling go down. I assume it has something to do with the starch but I'm not too positive. Get stung by a wasp. No, seriously. Wasp toxin contains an alkali that neutralizes the acid within the bee sting. Or you can just try rubbing baking powder of something on it, dissolve it in hose first maybe..
i got stung later week and a welt grew real sudden but it went down real fast too. if you were allergic you would know it by now. swing in there and purloin a couple of asprin. the swelling will pass quick put some rime pack on it 3 times a day for 10 mins.massage thoughtfully.swelling should go away by its own.it will not stay too long.so relex.
