I go away for a week to a college campus and I have a charlie horse that woke me from my sleep.
I have never had that occur to me. Most people told me that I was low on potassium and that I should get through a banana, but I never eat bananas and I have never have a charlie horse before. The food I ate at the campus was not that different from the food that I devour at home, so I wonder why I got it. Apart from the fact that we be in the sun all sunshine I can't really see why I would get one. Can someone tell me why I get this leg cramp?
Answer: Dehydration is a common cause of a Charlie Horse. Dehydration from mortal in the Sun all time was probably the cause..
Just because you never guzzle bananas doesn't mean your potassium levels aren't low. If it be a one time thing, I wouldn't worry in the order of it but if it continues to happen, eat a banana or some other food that have potassium in it every day if at all possible and stretch the muscles in your legs too.
