I have broad anaesthetic for an exploratory and biopsy hysteroscopy and am still terribly poorly. Has anyone?
suffered similar, please? I am feeling really terrible.
I feel fine after the operation and for a couple of days although tired. Then I got severe joint and muscle strain from head to toe, which lasted a few days and I be given 5mg daily Prednisolone (I already take a much lower dose, so know that be OK. In a lot of pain from the site of the operation and the ovarian cysts, GP give me Tramadol tablets, which made me sweat buckets, even though they reduced pain very ably. I'm not certain whether it has be the actual anaesthetic gases that have almost destroyed my digestion, liver processing of food, cause painful bowels, and spasm cramps in my lower belly or if the Tramadol has gone some way to doing this. I am still stale my food and in so much pain, reaction very exhausted and fed up. The hospital don't know what's wrong and neither does my GP.
I own no temperature and no infection but the ESR (sediment rate of my blood is up).
Please help if you can. Thanks.
Answer: If your ESR is up, later DEMAND another opinion!! Doctor's are not Gods, and make mistakes. I go for 35 years on the wrong medicine, by a bunch of different doctors, and even had electroconvulsive psychoanalysis (shock treatment) for extreme depression, and never got better. Last year I was finally diagnosed as Bipolar, what a trip that be!!
If you feel bad, consequently you need to pressure the hospital to do more checking. I'm sure they think you're exaggerating, but you know your body, and emergency an answer.
Gases from surgery can make you feel really achy and crampy, and tramadol can also trade name you really sweaty, but can also mess up your digestion. Maybe it's a combination of all of them, so you need to ask your doctor to switch you to something else.
Good luck to you, and if you start running a disorientation, get to the hospital immediately.
hiya - I have an op under gen. an in Feb. be given morphine at first, then onto Tramadol but they made me itch like wacky. I lasted 12 hrs on them. so they put me on Dihydrocodeine. My tummy hurt badly after.Lots of cramps couldn't poo or get through well for 3 weeks! Doc moved things along (!) with a laxitive. I put it down to the anaesthetic. I feel normal after a month. Don't know for sure what caused it, but I know exactly how you be aware of. Hope you mend soon. take care x
I don't enjoy an answer for you but I looked up taramdol and put the link to it below. Also, here are the listed side effects:
Ultram side effects
Get emergency medical aid if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your frontage, lips, tongue, or throat. Stop using Ultram and call your doctor at once if you hold any of these serious side effects:
seizure (convulsions);
a red, blistering, peeling skin unthinking; or
shallow breathing, weak pulse.
Less serious side effects may include:
dizziness, drowsiness, weakness;
nausea, vomiting, constipation, loss of appetite;
blurred trance;
flushing (redness, warmth, or tingly feeling); or
sleep problems (insomnia).
I had closely of trouble after surgery with the side effects from the anesthesia with nausea and vomiting for several days. The morphine they be giving me for pain management also increased the problem. Some of the drugs are remarkably hard on the system. If you think that it messed up the well-mannered bacteria in your system you could try ingestion yogurt with pro-biotic cultures in it and see if that help ease your gastrointestinal symptoms,
