i hold a stereotype on my leg /my ankel i own have it on 1 week iand it is getting softer is this supposed to be ?

please help me if it isnt right,
will i need it re-done ?

Answer:    Well, if its getting soft, that's not virtuous. That means its getting wet.
You own to remember that casts are not waterproof and can't acquire wet. You have to clutch a garbage bag(since its you ankle/leg) and put your foot in it and tie it above the style. Don't cut the bag and don't forget change it after every 2 wash. Do not go swimming or anything with sea. Even if people tell you they have/had a river proof cast-don't believe them. They are not waterproof and will get soft and sometimes if they draw from really wet they come apart. So call up your doctor who did the cast and ask if it's ok that it is a little soft. If its really soft then move about and see your doctor because that can be bad. Remember to always listen to your doctor and don't score an itch under your cast beside a pen because the cap can get stuck(personal experience).
Good luck!

EDIT: I saw your repress and maybe water is getting contained by the bag. Don't go swimming or in/near full-size bodies of water. You can't get it even a tad drizzling or in water resembling a pool because it will get wet evn beside the bag on! You can't go swimming at adjectives! OR EVEN IN WATER! A shower is the only exception! It will need to be redo if you keep going in hose! Even with a bag on! Believe me!.
You do not specify what type of style it is, I can only assume because it is going soft that it is plaster of paris.
Also you do not say how long you own to wear the cast and for what injury but in any satchel, you need to return to the plaster room at the Fracture Clinic to get it checked, any strengthened or renewed.
Good Luck, hope your injury heals quickly !.
it could expect your house has high humidity and is absorbing it. If you have the break a week ago your probably due a check up so ask them. but other than that unless it gets really really soft afterwards go to the pharmasist just to seize a bit of reassurance but it may be soft on the outside but strong and hard on the inside =] i wouldnt worry!
x It's not supposed to capture soft. It either worn or it wasn't put on thick ample. Plastic bags don't keep it completely dry by the mode, it always gets showery no matter how hard you try to hang on to it dry.
Have you been walking on it as that could make the plater eat away at if it's not a walking plaster. That is a one with a heel on..
There are two kinds of cast. A plaster and a non plaster. It just depends on what kind you have put on. You need to call the orthopedic doctor, if it is not suppose to be breaking apart it will appropriate a longer time for you to heal and you won't heal properly. i've have many of casts on at 17 and i can enlighten you that it shouldn't be soft!
ring up the doctor or the hospital you were at and ask if they should reccomend you having another pattern put on..
They get softer if they get splashed next to water. Keep it dry even if it means using a plastic shoulder bag while washing. i don't quite know because i've never have a cast on before or anything approaching that but i think you should call your doctor and ask. you know… to kind sure everythings okay.
hmm try asking your doc and try aring out your home i dunno if it will help but it might hope in some assist
