I know I entail xrays, is it cheaper to run to doctor or hospital?

I know that I need xrays on my abdomen because Im have problems there. I already went to the emergency room something like 3 weeks ago and asked them for xrays but she said I would be fine but im obviously not fine so should I go to a majority doctors office or the emergency room again(at a different hospital that knows what they are doing)?

Medical minister to please!?

Hello,

Sorry to hear around your abdominal discomfort. Were you recently physically injured or did you swallow a foreign object? There are greatly of things to consider in your situation.

An X-ray is a quick, inexpensive method of diagnosing things similar to bone fractures or pneumonia. In your case, it sounds like you might stipulation a CT scan (also known as a CAT scan), which is similar to an X-ray but instead of taking just two pictures, the scanner spirals around the body and take multiple pictures which allow a doctor to view the body from the inside. This can help diagnose problems near soft tissue and organs (stomach, liver, kidneys, etc), which sounds more like what you might be worried about. Only a doctor will be capable of say what specific test would be best to diagnose your problem and will prescribe it.

Do you enjoy health insurance? If so, call your insurance company and ask someone which would be more inexpensive. ER visit are usually very expensive and often own long wait times, so you may do better to go to a doctor's department. Not all offices hold X-ray machines or other diagnostic equipment though.

No matter what, please make an appointment near your doctor if you are concerned about your health. But do not simply blurt out that you inevitability X-rays. Discuss your symptoms: when did they start? What makes them worse or better? Your doctor may decide to do some blood test and/or put you on some medication first before taking some pictures.

Feel better.

Pain within my side?

It depends on your medical insurance.
Usually, you need to be referred by a doctor or insurance won't settle up.
Some radiologists won't take you for x-ray unless you have be referred by a doctor either.
Your best bet would be to see the doctor first or at least make clear to him that you are going for x-rays and are going to use his name as the referral because they will send the results to him and not afford them to you.

I dont know?
