I pinched my boyfriends stomach today & he think I pinched his spleen.. can that basis internal bleeding?
It caused a pretty bad bruise & its located on his right side around 4 inches below his chest, looks like its on his rib cage.
Answer: The liver is on the right side. The spleen is on the not here. There is no way to even palpate the spleen unless it's enlarged. It is a very protected organ, as is the liver. I ponder he will be okay. If his eyes turn a shade of yellow, you should seel medical attention because this could signify liver damage.
You can't bruise an internal organ by pinching the skin. Like the others say-so, the liver is on the right, the spleen on the left. The spleen should be entirely encased beneath the ribcage, the liver mostly so. Either way, there's a stratum of muscle in the way as economically. Unless you really punched him, I'd say the chances that you pinched an organ (besides the skin) are pretty much 0.
