I want to be an OB Nurse...and Then a Midwife
I'm going into my Senior year, I plan on going to GRCC into the two year nursing program to get my Associates Degree and then going put a bet on into a university and getting my Bachelors, But between that time i got back and receive my Bachelors I was thinking of working as I'm getting that other degree, I really want to work within OB, and then with the bachelors I still plan on working contained by OB for a while and then maybe following going back and becoming a Midwife, So how do I get nearby????
Answer: That's one way to go more or less it, but you should be aware, depending on which states, some require mandatory additional training for license if you only own an ADN (associate degree for nurses) which will add another 1-2 years. And copious OB nurse positions require a BSN. I suggest getting your ADN then go to a college that have an ADN to BSN program. Or, if finance isn't a problem, and you're a very intelligent soul, go directly into the BSN program.
Once you obtain your BSN and work surrounded by OB, you may decide later if you need to be a midwife or not. Your priorities may change at that time.
