If a doctor and a paramedic are surrounded by public somewhere, and someone get hurt, who responds?
Is it the paramedic because he's used to stabilizing, or is it the doctor because he has more experience and college?
Assume that the doctor is not an emergency medical doctor.
Also, I know they would both help, but who would "run the show"?
Answer: Whoever get there first should run the show initially. Then who takes over depends on the type of doctor that shows up. If the tolerant has chest pain and suddenly losses consciousness suggesting a sudden cardiac event, next if the doctor is a cardiologist he should be in charge. Essentially it depends on who shows up and what qualifications they enjoy. However, for the most part it doesn't really matter as long as both party are adequately trained in current advanced cardiac existence support..
hmm good question, i'd say aloud the paramedic, because if the doctor is not an emergency doctor, as much knowledge he may have of indisputable matters he may not be used to the pressure of that situation whereas the paramedic will be and can work fast. the doctor can provide diagnosis and give support to though, but i'd say the paramedic may be the best choice The physician would "run the show", so to speak.
EMTs take directives from emergency room doctors when they are available.
If none are available they are capable of handling the situation on their own.
They would also work together whenever possible..
Both should respond. For example, if the public place is equipped with a Defib element, one would need to monitor that, and the other could commence CPR. They would both enjoy valuable experience and knowledge.
...or, one could appointment EMS and the other could start CPR.
Both. that is what they are trained to do. It is an oath they take when they become that profession.
The doctor would run the show...remember that the paramedics position is to stabilize the patient until they can get the long-suffering to a doctor at a hospital..
if it's too serious, both, depending of what kind of emergency is.Example:If it's a spasm a dermatologist and the paramedic can help... First sour, there would definately be back-up doctors at the medical station (hospital, ER, A&E, etc.)
Second off, the doctor would give somebody a lift place because of his experiences, but they would both come..
They wouldn't know about each other's recommendation. Whoever got there first would respond. I'm sure that if they responded simultaneaously, they would introduce themselves and work together..freshly as they do in a medical setting. The doctor would probably be in charge, simply because he most feasible has more experience. But the paramedic could be invaluable given his training..
The paramedics first because they can do triage on a patient faster and better than a doctor next the doctor is obligated to step in and render aid. If they both happen to be at the scene of an chance or medical emergency, then the doctor would be in charge. No doubt roughly speaking it. .
Most likely the paramedic I would assume they would work together for the better of the patient. But I mull over the doctor would "take charge"..
I think professional nouns would dictate that both do what they can to help the person. paramedic.
resourcefully there would be other paramedics back at the station so zilch to worry about childs here?
