I'm so worried, could I be dieing?!?
Okay so I used to take tylenol pm every night for months. Sometimes I would pilfer a little more than I should have. I haven't have any since August of 07. Is it possible that I could have liver damage? Would it enjoy already progressed to a level that would have be noticeable? Or happened instantly?
Answer: you are fine so don't worry. be thankful for the simple purpose that you don't need the Tylenol pm anymore. there is nought wrong with your liver. years ago i went through this the creeps of dieing myself and i questioned all the stuff i have done in the past that might enjoy been harmful, you would not believe the anxiety i brought upon myself. 18 yrs then i'm still alive, and so will you.
Is this what is cause my sickness?
You're right that Tylenol is liver toxic. It actually has a surprisingly get thinner therapeutic index (range from effective to noxious dose) for an over the counter drug. That being said, you still have to pocket a fair amount to cause substantial disfavour and if you did do substantial damage- you would most likely know it by now.Signs & Symptoms of Tylenol toxicity include: Anorexia (not eating), nausea, vomiting, diaphoresis (sweating), chills, epigastric (stomach area) or abdominal twinge, diarrhea.
You wouldn't get these months after stopping the Tylenol usage. This would happen more around the time of overdose.
For most those, the max per day of tylenol is around 3-4 g or 3,000-4000 mg. Adults can safely thieve (given all other things normal) 325-650 mg every 4 hours. I'm not sure what you mean by "more than you should enjoy."
Unless you're covering for pain, try not to take any medication unless it's really needed. The exception are those that are taken on a rota, such as birth control, anti-depressants, etc.
Why were you taking the Tylenol? Headaches? Sleep (tylenol PM)? There may be herbal or non-medicinal things you can do to alleviate whatever the Tylenol be being taken for.
At this point, however, I wouldn't worry going on for the Tylenol you took 8 months ago. Hope this helps.
Torn ACL, requirement a knees brace to find through summer, recommendation?
Only your Doctor and an x-ray or ultra sound of the liver will determine that. I don't believe you are going to die from taking the Tylenol. The Liver is a remarkable organ, largest surrounded by the body, that has the capabilities to treat itself once the agent that is irritating it is gone, unless of course you hold liver damage beyond recognition, and it begin to die itself. Don't worry young one, you're OK. Best to you.Is this what a muscle strain/pulled is?
