Sometimes after one has be on a medication such as a painkiller for a time there can be contrasting side effects instead of the ones that they started out with. Also, sometimes the ingredients in the medication such as caffeine (an example only) can end in people to stay awake.

I would recommend checking with your pharmacist as okay as your doctor to see what they say.

How do you stop a burn from stinging?

What is happening to you is your brain is not producing Melatonin. Due to the drug. This is what with ease is responsible for sleep. Buy a bottle of it and use as directed at night. If that doesn't work, take a few more. There is a faster release reworked copy and I think this is the best. The regular stuff can take 2 hours ro see in. And this is medically accurate information.
