Is Foraminal Stenosis indistinguishable as Spinal Stenosis?
Is Foraminal Stenosis the same as Spinal Stenosis? This is on my MRI report and one doctor said I have some spinal stenosis. But this is the singular stenosis I see on my reports. I mean there are other things on my MRI, approaching osteoartritis, osteophyte, mild degenerative disc disease, arnold chiari malformation, and a 1 cm mass on the T4 vertebral body. That is about it. So anyway is that equal as spinal stenosis? I am confused. Oh and do any of these cause pain within the back area and legs and other stuff. One of the doctors I go to said they do not cause any pain. They said family do not get symptoms of any kind next to this stuff. See they are looking for an answer as to what is wrong with my back and why I enjoy all these horrible symptoms with my subsidise and legs & other stuff as well. The doctor I saw at the time and one other doctor said they have nought to do with pain. (I am highly serious about what they said). I thought these things could be why I have the chronic cramp.
Thank you ahead of time & serious answers only please.
Answer: I can't tell you what a foraminal stenosis is but I can let somebody know you that a stenosis is a narrowing of an area where something go through. Now I know when I had my spinal surgeries that I had stenosis of the self-confidence root. I don't know if the foraminal stenosis causes pain but I would contemplate that any narrowing would. Mild DDD is the mid grade of the disease and does cause agony. the mass if it is not interrupting the epidural space or putting pressure on a disc or nerves I doubt it would cause any issues unless it had spurs that may disrupt the subcantious tissues. Osteoarthritis can inflict pain. I would get the inference of another neurosurgeon or neurologist. I have dealt near chronic pain for over 7 years now and enjoy had several spinal surgeries and that is what i foundation my opinions on fore I am not a health guardianship provider. Good Luck
