Is it true that if you bear more than the reccomended dosage of a local anaesthetic, you're only wasting it?
Take aspirin for example. I've heard that if the dosage is 325 mg, taking 650 mg won't give you any extra relief. True or false?
Answer: Depends on the reason for the backache? If for example you are having a heart attack because you have a clot, probability are 650 of aspirin will work better than 325, because you need to thin the blood to catch it to the heart muscles, to stop the heart muscle from dying, which will also give you pain nouns. However if you have a headache and 325 does not work, chances are 650 will not work any, especially if the headache is really a brain tumor. Taking extra medication save for the recommended dosage will not help any better with the misery. There are serious effects of taking extra medication, aspirin can cause bleeding, tylenol is vary hear on the liver, and Ibuprofen is hard on the kidneys. generally true but not 100%,look at the dosages of motrin and the extra strength reworked copy, but significant side effect risk increase with higher than recommended dosages. .
