Is migraine a continuous headache (24/7)?

Answers:    Migraines are a whole different ballpark from headaches. Yes, they are a pain surrounded by your head, but a migraine is intense, has physical side effects, and are usually located on one side of your head.

They regularly last days to weeks, but during this time they can intensify or dull down. Migraines usually come hand in appendage with nausea, sensitivity to light, sound, and smell, and can interfere beside even your most menial daily activities.

Migraine DOES NOT EQUAL headache. The people who enunciate that migraines are just long, severe headaches are completely wrong and that is a reality. A true and honest fact. First and foremost, there is no such thing as a migraine headache or "migraines." There is migraine disorder and within are migraine attacks. Migraine disorder and migraine attacks consist of far more than a headache, including some combination of the following: numbness and tingling, pain in the head, misery behind the eyes, pain on one side of the head that may spontaneously switch sides, nausea, vomiting, slurred speech, loss of reverie, blurred vision, tunnel vision, visual hallucination, twitching eyes, shaking eyeballs, loss of balance, loss of coordination, sensitivity to light or sound, audible range or smelling things that don't exist, etc. Additionally, for people who actually have true migraine attacks, within are no over the counter remedies that will work. Also, pain killers do not stop migraine attacks. They can make the discomfort not so bad for a bit, but they will not stop migraine attacks. This is why there are 3 classes of prescription medications used to prevent migraine attacks. These 3 classes are anti-depressants, anti-convulsants, and medication to regulate blood pressure. These medications are typically take by people who enjoy frequent migraine attacks. Additionally there are prescription medications such as imitrex and maxalt that do help migraines step away but should not be confused with painkillers. They are a completely different class of drugs.

A migraine is when youre sensitive to light, sound, movement. Just shifting positions when you lie down and sometimes be so painful its almost unbearable.
A headache is impossible to tell apart (ish) only not as painful.
If you have a headache 24/7 you want to go see a doctor.
