Is my ankle broken/fractured or is newly inadequately sprained?
About a week ago I sprained my ankle. I've sprained my ankle several times before, but the pain this time around be worse than any I've ever felt.
I couldn't move my foot or toes for two hours and at the hospital the x-rays didn't show any breaks or fractures and they told me it was a short time ago sprained.
However, my ankle is still really sore and I can only walk on it for a couple of mintues back the pain gets painful. It' still swollent and is really badly bruised, and I get a strange burning sensation if I put too much weight on it for a long period of time.
I be just wondering if it is just a really desperate sprain, or have I possibley broken/fracutred it? I've been told that fractures can habitually take a while to show up on an x-ray, which would explain why it never showed up at the hospital.
Answer:
I broke my tibia (displaced surrounded by one place) and opt for a style instead of surgery.?
On Wednesday I too "sprained" my ankle. It is much much worse than ever before and the doctors within the ER told me that sometimes hairline fractures DONT show up on the Xrays so if in a week it is still bad to come support for more Xrays. It sounds like you and I have one and the same symptoms too. If you dont have the cramping and aching surrounded by your leg, you probably didnt tear the ligament. I suggest going back to the doctors. This also happen to a friend of mine who ended up with a fracture they found 3 weeks following
How long does it rob for a compressed self-confidence to restore to health?
I would return to the ER and get it x-rayed again. There could have be a hairline fracture, or it could be a VERY bad sprain, or whatever. Get it checked again. After a week, it should enjoy at least started to get better.Besides, when you enjoy a sprain, you should be keeping off of it. Is it wrapped in a heating pad or anything?
How can I seize rid of or kind an overlapping mark smaller amount striking?
I personally have never hear of a fracture "taking a while to show up on an x-ray" however, it could be a problem with the ligaments or tendons. I would go go and get it checked out.Take an inflammatory (ibuprophen or advil), rest it, Ice for 20 min break for 5 then warm compress for 10 and repeat.
Hope that help
Is near another antinflammatory?
It sounds like you may have torn some ligaments (bad sprain). I would maintain off that foot. Ice it, keep it elevated and wear a tencer. If it hurts, don't put your foot on it - get some crutches and keep it up during the afternoon.
If you still can't walk on your foot in 2 weeks, revisit the doc.
What may I hold done to my toe?
if its broken it will enjoy shown on the inital xrays...u could have torn a ligament and THAT wouldnt have shown up on the xrays... u obligation to see an ortho and have an MRI done...
often bleak sprains will hurt worse then breaks...
inthe meantime keep the cargo off ur foot...if it hurst then dont put any counterweight on it...

You should trust what they told you at the hospital, a bad sprain can be extremely painful so thats most credible the problem. If it persists go see your own gpPost-broken arm problems?
