Is my foot broken?
I was in a hurriedly pitch softball game and up to bat. The pitch was a rocket and shot right contained by the top of my foot. It hurts to walk on it, wiggle it around and put pressure on it. It have been swollen so far for 2 days. Is it broken?
Answer: There is no way to let somebody know if your foot is broken without an x-ray unless you can visibly see a bone bent the wrong way or sticking out at a funny angle. I can report to you that even if your foot is broken, you could still be able to put weight on it. I broke mine and didn't know it for a couple weeks and I be walking on it. I broke the top of my foot and for the first thirty minutes or so after that, I couldn't wiggle my toes because they were numb. I also play softball and know that if you be playing a good team that have a solid pitcher, it is very possible for a pitch to break your foot. A 60 mile an hour softball is about impossible to tell apart as a 90+ mile an hour baseball and softballs are bigger, so more pressure on contact. Your best bet is to get it x-rayed and possibly a cast. If you find a sports specialist, they may know how to keep you on the field near certain braces. I was lone out two weeks because of a sports specialist. Good luck with your foot and the rest of your season.
I hurt my foot later hours of darkness within my wood shop what should I do?
probably. try icing it and soaking it in a hot tub. walk see a doctor for x-rays. the more you wait the worse it gets. but again i rolled my foot in soccer a couple weeks ago, and the same stuff happen. i stayed off it for 3 days and easily walk back into it and was fine. it might lately be a sprain. sprains hurt more than breaksSomething surrounded by my eye!!?
You can only tell for sure if it is broken by getting an xray. Until next, ice; elevate; and stay off of it. If you can give somebody a lift motrin that will help with the distress and inflamation. BUT, you SHOULD have an xray done.You probably wouldn't be able to tramp at all on a broken foot its probably severely bruised but should have it checked out next to a doctor to be sure.
