Is at hand anything that can minister to me sleep, besides Tylenol PM ?

I work in the film business. We work average 13 hrs a day and we enjoy normaly 10hrs to be back for next day. So by the time I acquire home, shower, try to relax, I have 8hrs to be back to work. So I take 3 tylenol pm every hours of darkness to get to sleep quicker, What is better for me and will give great results. (I have tried nighttime tea, and no luck)
Answers:    There are two option, one is a prescription and the other is natural. The first is call Valerian Root. It is natural and can be used for a muscle relaxant and also as a sleep aid. It smells a bit resembling a stinky foot, but it does work, usually within about 45 minutes of taking it. The second is a non narcotic drug that was initially developed as an antidepressant, but is in a minute used for migraine prevention and insomnia. You usually get sleepy and go to sleep within 30 minutes of taking your dose. You do not acquire that groggy feeling that is so common near other narcotic sleep aids. The drug is called Amitriptyline and can be started as low as 10 mg per night and slowly increased to find the dose that is the most powerful for you. I use it for migraine prevention, but it also makes me sleep very soundly. If needed, and i wake up contained by the middle of the night, I have the ability, from my doctor, to filch another 25 mg. I am usually back to sleep within 30 minutes, and am able to stir at my normal time with no grogginess the next daylight. It is not habit forming and when you feel that you no longer need it, you can wean rotten without any side effects. Since you have such a stressful job, the use of this type of sleep aid is markedly effective. Good luck getting some sleep. Try the Valerian Root first and if that does not work, try the Amitriptyline. Source(s): I take Amitriptyline fo migraine prevention and find that is also make me sleep much better during the night.
