OK sometimes I play my guitar late into the night and I grasp tired. And weirdly enough I find sleeping like this (view picture) deeply comfortable. I would prefer sleeping like this more often. You're not sleeping with a proper spine alignment because your nouns is going off to the side, but other than the reality that it may cause neck misery, you're probably okay. Actually, a lot of people enjoy to sleep upright due to heart issues or breathing difficulties. So, if they do it, you should be okay to do it too. I would suggest getting a travel neck pillow piece to keep your neck within better alignment if you're going to sleep this way though.
