Is this Costochondritis or a dislocated rib?

when i was 15 and playing football a kid took his helmet and hit me dead center surrounded by my sternum. i felt miserable for a couple of days. after till it finely popped it self back into place. but ever since afterwards the second rib from the top on the left side of my sternum will pop it's self in and absurd. until about a year and half ago it seem to got stuck out of place and will not pop hindmost in. there is a frozen lump right where the rib and sternum meet support up but when i tell this to my Dr he just writes it stale as Costochondritis. and says it will go away on it's own but it really never does. could a chiropractor comfort this ? or will it pop it's self back in near time ?
Answer:

Sprained ring finger, inevitability backing curative?!?

Costrocondritis is just the fancy term that these docs use to explain sternum/rib spasm that the pain can be replicated when touched.

I had a similiar even. I be trying to crack my back and leaned all the instrument back. I felt a POP, much approaching you describe. Only, it never went back into place. My doctor ordered an xray and it turned out that I have actually fractured my sternum!
There is basically no treatment aside from time, tylenol and decreasing entertainment..

Every once in a while it still pops out. My Chiropractor will adjust my neck and stern, but has not yet deal with my sternum.

If you continue to own problems, make an appointment to go see any a Sports Medicine or Orthopedist. These are guys who deal with injuries adjectives the time and they will be able to guide you towards the best treatment.

Good Luck

Your doctor is 'blowing you off'. It is sad that they cannot be honest and a moment ago say "I don't know".

It is time to see your family Chiropractor.

Best wishes and honest luck.
