It hurts to devour next to different braces...?
I just got braces yesterday. -smiles painfully- so, I know what foods i can't and can devour. But right now, it really hurts to eat. Does anyone enjoy any suggestions on what i should eat so the pain is minimized?
Answer: I get my braces on last week, and I couldn't even close
my mouth too hard or accidentally hit my tooth with a
toothpick or it would hurt like crazy! It's average to not be
able to floss the first two days or so if it hurts too badly. Try drinking foods like
Ramen noodles, mashed potatoes, soup, yogurt, or smoothies;
they really sustain ease the pain by not chewing. Basically put away
anything that doesn't require chewing, or hot foods to ease the pain.
After a week (which is now) my teeth perceive sooo much better(!) and I
can eat about anything, even apples, though my front teeth
are still the teensiest bit sensitive. Don't verbs about anything,
it will be fine. :) Until then, use some Tylenol to minimize the distress, though Tylenol didn't do anything for me. That's normal too. It's
also okay for it to hurt to talk, or even smile. Just bestow it a few
days to a week, and I promise, it will feel pain-free and totally fine. :).
Well, when I had braces at first, All I ate be Ice cream, pudding, soft noodles, stuff like that. extremely soft. Also When you get your braces tightened your teeth will hurt too. but not as long as when you first find them on. I also suggest taking pain killers. They give support to alot.
Good luck with your braces! P.S. if you do everything your orthidontist says your braces will be rotten before you know it! Trust me. I was suppost to own mine on for 3 years, but I got mine off surrounded by 1 1/2 yrs. .
for the first few days (as well as after you get them tightened) you'll want to keep hold of to eating soft things. ice cream, jell-o, applesauce, soggy cereal, mash potatoes, soup, yogurt, smoothies, etc. it does get better! I have braces to and they used to hurt soo discouraging! i suggest ice cream or squishy Popsicle. and if you take Tylenol it usually help a lot. Hope it helps!=).
Ice cream will construct you fat,so lay off that. Low grease or fat free yogurt, soup, smoothie(low fat, low cal.), any soft foods. try different types of soups for 2 or 3 days later gradually work your way up to the foods that you use to devour b4 u got them.
Ice cream! When I first got my braces (still hold 'em) Ice cream was my best friend Ice cream, yogurt, soup. and Tylenol
