just recently i be in the toilet reading a magazine and then i scratched my lower than arm (shoulder) i then noticed a lil red lump so i scratched it some more and in a minute its swollen up, i think i may of been biten by something but i dont know what, doesnt really hurt..feel liek more of a mosquito bite otehr then anything else but there is im a lil worried because when i look at it nearby is this red lil spot in the middle as though something picked at it (im hoping it was my nail)

i of late went for a hot shower and rubbed plenty of soap on the area immediately i have a cold pack on it

anyway im in Australia does anyone know how to treat spider bites.. or do u muse its best i go and get a antihistamine shot...cheers

I would lug some over-the-counter antihistamine medicine and apply some hydrocortisone and an antibiotic topical ointment. If it be a spider bite you'd probably see two puncture wounds. Try the above, it should help and yes ice is dutiful too. However if it continues to swell and feels really hot to the touch, or you run a fever, after get to the doc. Another thing, if it's beneath your arm then chances are it's also mortal chafed against your body. Put a plaster/band aid over it just to prevent that.
