Just how discouraging is a tonsillectomy at 14?...?
Can anyone tell me how rough it is going to be for my 14 year old son to own his tonsils removed? He will be 15 in October.. I have hear as you get older, the rougher the recouping.. He is also autistic, though luckily he is verbal. He is also going back into have have his adenoids removed as they have also grown backbone... ENT says this tends to come about in children who have allergies.
Answer: I have mine removed when I was 13. It wasn't completely horrible. I was spinal column at school in a week. I ate abundantly of popsicles and ice cream the first few days, but was like greased lightning back onto solid food. Good luck to you both!.
adenoids grow back?? Did they not bring back the root bud when they took them out the first time? That will of course hurt and suck for him! Just keep him comfy and don't rush the repossession if he needs to rest for 2 weeks, let him.
I don't know how you are going to achieve him to take his medicine though.
