Knee twinge after trauma?

Ok, so last week I hit my knee against a gymnastics horse, ya stupid I know, i'm really clumsy. Anyway the next light of day it was pretty bruised then a few days after I woke up and stood up and then cramp was so bad I just fell over. It's be pretty painful the past few days, getting worse whenever I bend it, like when i'm standing up. My Mum say it's a bit swollen too. What should I do? What could be wrong with it? Thank you in advance.
Answers:    You won't know for sure unless you nickname your doctor and go in to have an XRay done. More than expected, it's just a bruise, sprain, or strain and I have been told that those can hurt even worse than breaks. If you are or hold been walking on it this long, I really doubt you've broken anything. Trust me, you'd know it.

Try elevating your leg on some pillows, icing it, not walking on it too much and taking an OTC pain reliever like Advil that will oblige with inflammation (Tylenol won't do that).

I'd still call the doc. If you've injured a ligament, continuing to put pressure on it could exacerbate the problem. Falling over on it first thing contained by the morning doesn't surprise me though. It would have been stiff from you laying down adjectives night. Not a symptom to truly panic about except that it confirms you've visibly injured yourself.

Although it probably isn't that serious, you lose nothing by seeing if they think you need to come within. You are the only one who knows how it feels and if you really want some attention on it. Source(s): me

Muscle torment, & stress virus due to..

You need to see your doc and then get an MRI to see the muscle blight. Simple x-ray will not show that, just the bone. You may also have to have an MRI w/dye injection but explicitly no big deal at all. Good luck to you!
