Answer: This may be soft-tissue rheumatism (tendinitis)
Pain or discomfort can be extremely difficult to localize, because it's repeatedly "referred" from one area to another down the distribution of a nerve.
Tendons are bunches of strong, white tissue that hold muscles to bone. When a muscle shortens, it pulls on the muscle, which yanks your bone into the place you want it.
If a tendon become inflamed (which may be your problem), it;'s hard to tell from the stomach-ache just where the injury is.
Youl speak the front of the knee feels tender. Press around the different areas of your knees until you find a particular area of discomfort. That usually points exactly to the source of your discomfort.
Once that's been located, you'll probably discover it's caused by an inflamation of the joint, tendons or bursae.
If it is tendinitis, it will take a few weeks or even months to heal, because the muscle is in constant use. Ask your doctor if this may be the problem. She'll prescribe a course of action that will sustain relieve the condition..
