i was woke up in the middle of the hours of darkness with this wrist pain and numbness contained by my fingers and it wont go away even took some advil what should i do?

sounds close to a trapped nerve, you may have be sleeping with your hand bent surrounded by a peculiar position and it "went to sleep" in that position to the point of numbness, that`s why 'the pain if it's still hurting after a few hours go stop by your doctor you may have trapped a nerve.It sounds similar to carpal tunnel syndrome, it happens because the nerves are being pinched. I used to own it and it's quite painful! See a Dr asap to gain a diagnosis, when I went they gave me a wrist brace to hold my wrist from bending while I slept.
