Mixed sex ward within hospital?
I have just be in Hospital and found it uncomfortable individual on a mixed sex ward, especially when getting in and out of bed to use the toilet which is also shared by both sexes, what is happening next to our NHS,

Unfortunately there have be mixed sex wards for years. It is wrong. What happened to dignity and respect? Complain to your MP.When a being is ill in hospital they perceive vulnerable and exposed. It is bad adequate been in within without having to touch uncomfortable having the divergent sex in there beside you. Also many people hold intimate,embarrasing things happening to them in hospital. For example if (I am female) I looked similar to death I wouldn't want to be seen by men. Also men and women picture illnesses and conditions differently so a mixed ward is not appropriate. A lot of people in their 50's and over are massively old fashioned as it was surrounded by their culture and it so unfair to put them in that predicament, especially when they are sick. Maybe a vet thought this impression up as their hospital cages are all mixed. And I wouldn't want to use a toilet that sick men use. They spray anyway (no offense).

I feel so sorry for the young guy it was so boring for him. The other two be bedridden and I found it hard getting off the bed minus showing my undies!!

instinctively it doesn't bother me. The only fully mixed ward in our hospital is the Admissions Unit and they try to find bed on the appropriate ward as soon as possible. I've always been too unwell to care who was surrounded by the next bed!What does Ipecac soft spot approaching?

You should tolerate the hospital know then. The NHS is always bleating on more or less customer charters and such. Get in touch with PALS if you hold one at your hospital. I wouldnt like it either.

god that is so out of order what subsequent lolI'm sure I read recently that these mixed wards will stop, and that it will obtain back to single sex wards. Lots of inhabitants are uncomfortable with them, and I own temporarily forgotten why they were started, anyway.
Also, someone told me recently (I work contained by healthcare) that the matron is to be brought back. I have mixed state of mind. The matron still existed at Barts in London when we had our first child, and she would march down the ward, shouting to all the father who were cuddling their little babies 'Put that baby hindmost in its cot!' and like numbskulls we adjectives obeyed her. I hated that. But instead, nursing has possibly become as lax as every other profession, so maybe we obligation the strictness to return.
