My 3 year ripened wake up screaming his foot hurt please abet..?

My 3 years old step-son has foot pain at dark.he will cry out in pain for 30 min or so even after I have given him motrin. some night he will wake up 2-3 times screaming in pain and we will saunter around which also seems to help.i have read in the order of growing pain, but it does not seem to fit since its all contained by his feet and not in his legs or anywhere else. Has anybody had duplicate experience as mine on his feet? I have taken him to his pediatrician and asked if they could do blood work but they refused and said that they didn't suspect anything that would show up on blood work Please if nearby is anyone out there that has a smilier experience please respond I cant stand to see my son in distress it just breaks my heart and the lack of sleep is not helping my son, my fiance or me...
Answers:    My son was have similar pains in the thighs when he was 6 years old, roughly during the night. Pain was there for say aloud 10 to 15 minutes and thereafter everything was fine. I had to see so many doctors past the diagnosis.

We got his thighs X-ray, done a doppler to detect any problem with blood vessels, but no problem be detected.

As I was a patient of para hyperthyroid and my Vit-D was fairly low, I thought of checking Vit-D level for my son. Finally on checking his Vit-D level, it was below the minimum. On consulting an endocrinologist, he be given Vit-D injection and tablets, he showed improvement is fine now.

Consult a endocrinologist and get his Vit-D level checked. Get him some exposure to sun (sunlight is a natural source of Vit-D). Source(s): Personal Experience

What should i do in the region..

My guess is that it really is just growing pains. They occur mostly at dark. Your son may be having pain in his legs as very well, but if it's radiating down into his feet, he may just be focused on that area. You are his mother, and you know when something isn't right. If you consistency like you need to, take him to a podiatrist. they specialize within foot care, and they can take x-rays to make sure there's no underlying structural defect that's causing the problem.
