You SHOULD own done something immidately if you didnt:

Rinse the affected area next to salt water or don’t rinse it at adjectives. Do not rinse the involved area of skin with fresh marine, because it will further activate nematocysts and worsen the reaction.

Apply acetic tart 5% (white vinegar). This will inactivate undischarged nematocysts and the toxin and will help to decrease symptoms.

Use over-the-counter twinge medications such as acetaminophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) to control pain symptoms. Immobilize the nouns that was poisoned to prevent further spread. For example, if a foot was stung, provoke the victim to keep the nouns still with as little movement as possible.

Follow up with your doctor for re-evaluation of the wounds and to lend a hand prevent further complications, such as scarring and recurrent allergic reactions. Such allergic reaction can occur for up to 4 weeks after the initial injury.

Actually the only legitimate reason why they say not to use urine on the jelly sting is because you can't really gage how much ammonia will be within the urine. Therefore, the person must be dehydrated somewhat surrounded by order for the urine to be productive since it is the ammonia that deactivates the venom.

So, adjectives of the people swearing up and down about urinating on a jelly sting are not really far past its sell-by date the mark chances are the character doing the urinating was probably drinking alcohol. Since alcohol will dehydrate a person cause their urine to have a higher consequently normal ammonia content. BTW the venom contained by a jelly sting is alkaline base ( the opposite of acidic) which is the judgment using fresh water to flush the sight is a impossible idea and why the argument can be made that urine is not a good belief because there is the possibility fresh water content will be elevated in urine.

However, you are obviously a parent and the probability of you drinking enough alcohol to make your ammonia level in your urine to be high are small; urinating on the sting would not be a honourable idea. Studies show that vinegar (5% acetic acid) work well, meat tenderizer (which we own on the unit at the hospital where I work), Isopropal alcohol or rubbing alcohol can also inactivate the sting, or saline water.

First of all...don't rub the nouns, that will cause more irritation. You can put white vinegar on the area to prevent supplementary toxins that may still be in the wound from releasing. Tylenol or ibuprofen for pain...and save an eye on her as jellyfish stings can cause anaphylactic reactions. It might not hurt to enjoy her evaluated by a physician since she's a child.

FYI: contrary to popular belief...urine is not good for jellyfish stings...ammonia will encourage the release of toxin and toxins further into the wound.

Can the roast be making me sick?

For a *fresh* jelly sting, I've also heard fresh urine can help...but I'm not sure how...so I'd not recommend it.

The biggest one I've heard is vinegar... Doesn't matter what sensitive of vinegar.

The second day, I'd say you should steal her to the hospital. The stingers may still be in her skin.
