My finger freshly locked up, have never happen formerly

i was blow drying my hair, and my middle finger on my not here hand, got really stiff and glue its self to my index finger, no pain i was more startled that it happened, this has never ever happen before, lasted probably 5 second, what the heck could have caused this, have this happened to anyone before, Sometimes i return with cramps in my toes, and they lock up, but that is uncomfortable, this wasn't, just really weird, any suggestions?

Answer:    Cramping is sometimes cause by a lack of potassium. Try increasing your potassium intake via foods such as bananas, broccoli etc. Do not take pills unless you doctor does blood work first and suggests that you do..
I would suggest getting a couple of blood test to check your potassium and magnesium levels.
Are you using any diuretics, laxatives, or diet aids? This could cause electrolyte problems.
Bu really, it sounds similar to a muscle spasm, and it might be reasonable just to manufacture sure your electrolytes are okay.
Well that happens to me sometimes... but its only when i try to push or do something too unyielding... I forget what it's called but I dont think its serious
