My fingers enjoy 21 stitches, its easier said than done to clench fist. is this middle-of-the-road?
my thumb and the ring finger are the main areas for the stitches, they are the most swollen parts, my thumb is the worst. ive been told by thysio-therapy to clench fist and move thumb in the region of every hour, i find this difficult and i worry that it is going to be like this forever. the thumb is numb surrounded by the middle and i cant move it properly, should the swelling go away? the nurse said i will be able to use my foot properly in about 5 week and surrounded by 4 week time i dont have to wear my splint thing anymore.
Answer: I cut two tendons within my right thumb some years ago. I was told by the doctor that I' would never be able to be paid a fist again.. That upset me since I teach self-defense. I was told to squeeze a racquetball several times a sunshine. The first few weeks it was very prickly. I could not close my hand very far. I could solitary bend the thumb a little. It took many months and deeply of work but I can use my hand and thumb as if it never happened. I Do still own a small area on my thumb that still has no fancy. I would not be to worried about your thumb. Just do what the doctor recommends and stick to it. I chew over you will come out OK in time.
Best of Luck!
