i am transferring to a new family doctor because this outmoded doctor of mine has been asking me to dance for a check up after every 2 weeks which i find ridiculous.plus it takes 3-4hrs of waiting time. so i transferred but she's asking me to pay for my documents which is $110.00 for me and for my husband is $44.00 how did she come up next to these figures??by the way im from toronto and i dont own any terrible medical condition.i heard from other patients that they're man asked to come back every 2 to 3 weeks as well which we find ridiculous.is in attendance some way that this can be reported?

Im in Australia and we dont own to pay anything if we want to change doctors, only sign a release form at the new doctor telling the information ie cross, medicare number, last doctor and address and then they do it adjectives for me, with me not paying anything. thats because all medical files here are the propety of the character not doctor.

It sounds like the old doctor is trying to cheat you out of money.

You should move about see if youre new doctor and ask if they can do anything so you dont have to salary for the files to be transferred. Is there an ethics board you could contact? possibly the police could help put you in touch next to the correct service.

If not then id christen around the Canada public government health system, i deem the canada one is also called medicare or Ontario Health Insurance Plan ? A check up every 2 weeks is very extreme and simply extra but also a waste of time, money and resources , you should only hold a check up every 2 years or 1 year if youre that concerned, even a Pap smear should only be done within that time interval.

Youre doing the right thing leaving that doctor. but psyche make sure he/she didnt tamper with any of youre house medical records.

Can you new doctor's bureau get the papers? Some do charge for getting your paperwork, which I think is ridiculous also.

That is outrageous to skulk 3-4 hours to get NO WAY!! Is there a paticular judgment why your going every 2 weeks? Pregnant? If there really is nothing wrong next to you that isn't normal to go every 2 - 3 weeks!!
