Badly bruised fingernail! CURE!!?
Have you had an MRI? This procedure is not as invasive as a myelogram, no needles involved unless you have have past back surgery. It seem an MRI would be more appropriate getting a more accurate reading/result. A myelogram is somewhat passe now a days.I want to sue the hospital for giving me MRSA. Anyone know who I can contact?
do you have any metal pins or plates contained by your body?why is this Dr not sending you for an MRI?it has a magnet in the tool, so that's the only problem, if you have metal implant in the body, you cannot have MRI,but CAT / CT scan should fine.some race may have bad response to the dye injected for myelogram(seizure)Since you have had such poor experiences beside spinal needles ask the doctor what is he looking for with the myelogram that could not be better visualized using MRI. If you are not thrilled with the answer get a second inference. Most soft tissue spinal problems are very well visualize using MRI. Spinal fractures can be visualized with CT or MRI
Any tips on getting a perfect night's sleep?
Does your doctor know of adjectives the problems with injection's in your spine and still requirements to do the myelogram? Is there some reason you can't enjoy a MRI done. I would think a MRI would be the better way to progress but I'm not a doctor. I Wish you Good Luck hope everything works out for you.First time smoking weed... took 15 hits lacking any effects... should I own stopped quicker?
Go to amazon.com and order Healing Back Pain: The Mind-Body Connection by John Sarno, M.D. I was contained by agony with back headache for years until I read his books. All you have to lose is your pain!!I enjoy a cut on my foot that have swelling and some puss underneath the skin is it infected?
I've have a myelogram. Mine was horrid, but it was also expected. I'm allergic to the dyes they have to use so I was drugged into a state of mental confusion. What they'll do is numb your back. You will return with a spinal tap. That's a good article. They'll be adding dye into your spinal cord and, quite frankly, there's not satisfactory room for all that dye. They have to relieve the pressure. If you get a headache, that means they left a hole. If you achieve a spinal tap, if they take the plunger out straight, it won't leak bad satisfactory to give you a headache. I'd suggest getting this procedure done at a teaching hospital associated near a university. Those are the absolute best. The worst thing you can do is nouns. Yes, it's scary. Yes, the spinal tap sounds gross. But, it's for the best and the lone way to clearly see the nerves on an MRI with adjectives the other things there.
After the dye is injected, they'll tilt you for a moment to get the dye to travel where on earth they want it. Then they'll flip you on your back and take you into the MRI, which is as exciting as a CAT scan or x-ray, lol. Unfortunately, that's going to hurt a bit. It won't be as discouraging as mine (as you know, disks can go from bulging to herniated to protruded to extruded being the worst since rupture. I have three extruded disks, two herniated, and a bulging disk in adjectives my lowest disks that are crushing in on my spinal cord. Therefore, I'm also sensitive to different positions and can't really walk. Not to mention an allergy to those dyes).
The MRI portion will pinch about 45 minutes. Then you're done and you go home and flop on your back for 6 hours. And when they say deceit on your back, they mean it. It help the hole they put in your back alleviate. If you turn on your side to be more "comfy" it's going to let more fluid leak out and you WILL procure a spinal headache.
It won't be fun, but it won't kill you. Don't worry almost it too bad. If you have any other question, click on my profile. I have mine set to allow email, so feel free to convey me any other questions you have instead of losing your points on somebody perchance seeing your q.
Oh- and ask for sedation if you're really scared. Tell them you're too scared to hold still. They'll hold you floating in the clouds the whole time, and likelihood are you won't remember a lot.
