Need proposal on antenna injury
My boyfriend is an MMA fighter and keeps getting hit contained by the nose. Everytime it happens the inside nostrils swell up and it sounds approaching he has a cold for a week. There is blood coming out this time when he tries to blow his nose. It is so stuffy he can scarcely sleep. I am worried because we don't know if it's mostly just mucus from it being so swollen or if at hand is a ton of blood trapped up there or what. The outside is swollen and a little bruised but we are almost persuaded it's not broken. One of our friends is a doctor and says he may have tattered the cartilage inside the tip. Does anyone know how serious this is and what could happen potentially if he keeps getting hit? He won't stir to a doctor because his insurance is pretty weak, and we can't pay out of pocket right presently.

Answer: eventually having your nose repeatedly smacked and broken will incentive a deviated septum (where the middle wall of the nose shifts or collapses) this will cause massive breathing issues - within future he might need surgery to correct this. it also sounds similar to the cartilage is badly bruised and damaged- this needs to alleviate over time although repeated damage will cause deformity... i am more concerned about head injuries though, I suggest he take it easy
