Need time bad work for hospital appointment?Advice?
I need time off work (1 day) for hospital appointment, My work are pressuring me for details in relation to this however it is personal and I do not want to tell them. Does anyone know of any reason I could distribute them, some other reason for my hospital appointment? I just don't want to enjoy to discuss the reason with my masculine boss but they are pressurising me
Answer: Agree with the first poster. Unless you work at some really special job, your medical documents and health are none of their business.
They may be truly concerned or just human being nosy, but if your job allows personal time or you're taking a time off day or whatever, you don't hold to tell. .
Legally, you do NOT have to narrate them any details other than you have a personal medical condition that desires attention.
If you work for a large company and have be there for at least a year and you are within the US, you would be covered by the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Go to human resources and get the FMLA form to fill out. Your doctor will hold to fill out a certification form as okay for you. This will have on it how many times surrounded by the future that you would need to help yourself to off for appointments. It would be an intermittent leave (a daylight here or there). They cannot NOT allow you to take off to shift to your appointment if you have this paperwork filled out ahead of time. There is also continuous hand down if you need more consecutive days away from work.
If you don't want to go this route, in recent times tell your boss it is personal and to stop pressuring and harassing you. Go to human resources to tell them that you boss is pressuring you. .
it's none of their business and you hold a right to take the time of for this appointment. If they ask again you could say its for women's problems - that as a rule shuts people up - or of course narrate them that it is personal and you'd rather they didn't know. tell them that you are not grateful to tell them why you are going to the hospital. just show them a communiqu¨¦ from the hospital or appointment card, showing the date and time of the appointment..
You don't have to, just show them the appointment form and explicitly enough. They should not need to ask what the appointment is for, they are a moment ago being nosey. funeral
btw could you do me a huuge favor and vote for me here?:
