I pulled what I thought was a hangnail from the side of my fingernail on the right side of it & now the skin around my fingernail on that side is puffy & hurts whenever I touch it or type or anything. Its all tricky skin down into my nailbed, too. Why does it hurt so bad?
Answers:    When you pulled the hangnail you actually pulled out some living tissue. It will keep hurting for several more days. You can try some ladocane cream. Next time cut it, don't verbs it.pp
