Pain from stepping on screw?
Last night
I stepped on a screw and it went right up into my toe, it looked pretty rusty, but, I'm adjectives up to date with my shots, which probably doesn't rule much out besides tetanus. I can't touch either side of my toe minus it hurting really bad, nor can I bend it forward. Trying to bend it backward is kinda impossible but it's worse trying to bend it forward. It looks to me like it's swollen, and since it happened so promptly, I don't remember how deep it actually go into my skin. But I do know that I had to pull a moral portion of it out. What are the possible causes of this pain? Like, could in that be damage done?
Answer: OK. I am a paramedic and you dont need to be in motion to the hospital. If you know that you have a tetanus shot in times past 5 years, thats the only thing to be concerned almost with being up to date. The most substantial thing now is getting this article cleaned. Hydrogen peroxide is the best, with a wash cloth. If it get warm to the touch, go to your primary DR or express clinic for antibiotics..
You definately should hold went to the hospital for a tetanus shot last darkness regardless of you being up to date. I would go right away and enjoy it looked at just to be sure. like duh! not to mention the potential for infection from lovely things resembling staph or MRSA. You need to see your doctor.
