title says it all. i run a mile today if that counts..
what could it be?
Answer: as someone who has had knees problems for over 20 years i think it could be either traumer to the connective tissue at the pay for of the knee or damage to the cartlidge again towards the rear legs of the knee. without a fuller description of what happen when you experience the pain i cant narrow it down further.
own you had this before, did you trip or stumble while you be running, now matter how within significant you think it was. can you gross the pain come and go by keeping it contained by the same position but tensing the back of the knees (start by clenshing your bum working down your leg tensing each group of muscles as you go) if you can keep a check on it you may find it feel better by the morning if not buy a neoprene knee support which will not solely offer protection from further damage but as it generate increased heat this brings fresh healing blood to the nouns. do however make an appointment with the dr at like time just so they can check it to make sure that in that is no damage that requires more immediate attention within the form of physio x-rays or scans ect
look after your knees they are difficult to treat if you dont take proper feat with an injury
it sounds as though the knee could be across the world weaker than it should be thus allowing a little more movement than mother nature intended this within turn is allowing injury to the knee - this can be minor resulting in minor strains of the tissue which settle like lightning to those involving torn ligaments and or cartlidge only an orthopeadic bod will ultimately be able to look after you properly although your gp will prob ask for his own x-ray s contained by the mean time a staple knee exercise which will not product things worse is the straight leg raise - sit somewhere you can stretch your legs out ( its easier this way at first till you find used to it ) tighten your quads these are on the thigh and lead to and finish by your knee boater now bring your toes up and start to lift the leg at first merely lift slightly then you can net daylight between the surface and your leg
suggest 5 per hour ish if ok with that and does not add to discomfort do the same but with your foot turned contained by
make sure you tell the personality examining you what you have been doing so that they can factor within that you will have improved the strength / integrity of the knees
