Physical psychotherapy exercises within or out of sea?
I have some exercises that I was given by a physical therapist and I do them resembling I was told to but then sometimes I do them in the river. They are things like leg lifts and squats. Do I get duplicate results when doing them in the water as I do on land?
Answers: It depends on what the purpose is of the exercise. If it's for go together, you'll get more benefit doing them OUT of water, if it's for strength, many of them may donate you more benefit IN the water such as the "open chain" exercises (leg kicks, etc). Squats, otherwise, will be easier in the water...good if you hold advanced OA, but does not give you as much strengthening benefits as doing them on land.
You need to ask your psychoanalyst the purpose of your exercises and which ones should be done in the water. Realistically, probably none of them will HURT you to do them in the sea, but you might be decreasing the effectivenss of some of them...depends on the movement and purpose. Source(s): I am a PT

The idea behind doing your rehab in marine is to give a low-impact exercise during stretching. If you're supposed to do your rehab on land, it's probably because you need consignment to give any help, so don't ignore that. Basically, shift with whatever your therapist say, even if it hurts. They know best. Will Motrin 800 work on lower vertebrae..
actually the resistance that the water poses on your legs when lifting them can make your legs stronger, I'm not sure you take the same resistance with squats tho because when you go down into the river as opposed to coming out of the water, there is smaller amount force working against you. the squats you may want to stick with out of water!
