my 2 yo neph. hit his cheek bone VERY HARD on the wooden part of a chair. it is every color of the rainbow and is swollen intensely badly. He has singular been able to keep hold of ice on it for about 30 second and is crying so hard and so loudly. I am worried that he has broken it, but its obedient because his mom is here-she is an RN.
PLEASE help what should we do?

It's highly unlikely he broke his cheekbone, it would take considerable force to do this.. it's more likely he bruised his cheek and self as young as he is cried in aching. See a physician to make sure nearby ain't anything broken; comfort him emtionally. It hurts, but 80% of the distress is the shock.2 years old? Get him into the hospital however long ago it happened!
