Question around an Ultrasound i have today on my pancreas/gallbladder.
I'm 18 and had one to check my pancreas/gallbadder because i've been have discomfort around that area that my doctor isn't sure is caused by Gastritis which she think i got after taking strong Ibuprofen for a few weeks because of back aching which irritated my stomach lining and has cause problems on and off since (3 months ago now).
Anyways after i had it done she go " right all done, looks good " and smiled, i rob it everything looked fine?
I did look at the screen myself but i had no hypothesis what i was looking for.
So it's probs down to the Gastritis i take it?
I've be worried sick about it!
Xo.
Answer: the tech that did the ultrasound isn't your doctor. That remark is vague. He or she should not hold said anything.
Call the doctor's office that ordered the ultrasound and ask them about the results and clear sure you get a complete explanation of the results. That means, catch the diagnosis, the course of treatment, and the follow up.
.
If there was anything seriously wrong, she probably would enjoy been able to see, so don't verbs! You would have gone through a doctor, ring the doctor in a few days for the results! She be probably checking you with the ultrasound for pancreatitis or gall stones, both of which can be awfully painful. "All done, looks good" means that your pancreas and gallbladder are OK. No heaps, inflammation, or stones. So, with those ruled out, you probably have gastritis from the NSAID (ibuprofen). You probably will enjoy to be careful of the meds you take, since you developed the gastritis, and avoid aspirin and ibuprofen.
If your are sour the ibuprofen, and your gastritis doesn't clear up, your doctor probably will put you on Pepcid or Prevacid for the stomach irritation.
Meanwhile, don't worry. If you have question, give your doctor's office a phone call.
