Although you keep your ear really verbs, I am suspicious that due the waxy substance might still be an infection. That is a classic symptom of an infection. It could also be an allergic reaction to the material the guage is made beside. That is normal. You know how sometimes when you get a marine blister and it pops there is a bit of clear fluid that comes out of it? That is the "plasma" portion of your blood. your blood, like the rest of you, is made up mostly of sea with some blood cells floating around contained by it. But without the cells, it's for the most part water. Mainly, but not quite. There's also some proteins, fat and sugars in your blood so when your plasma dries it looks waxy. So what's happening is that your piercing site is lately oozing a tiny amount of plasma from the pressure of the gauge. That plasma dries on the gauge and turns it waxy.
Just hold on keeping the piercing site clean and disinfected. Do not increase the size of your gauge for a bit as that would merely make things work. If it works with your fad, you could go a size smaller and there would not be so much pressure and consequently not so much leakage. Or just vacate it be because, unless it gets infected, it's not dangerous.
