I have an umbilical hernia. I went to the doctors and they prescribed me antibiotics and cream and made an appointment with the surgeon. By the time i went to the surgeon, it be gone. a few months later, it came posterior...then it went away again. And presently, its back. Any ideas why this keep happening or what i should do about it?

First, I'd go and get a second opinion to make sure it really is a hernia. Second, if the piece really is coming and going, I'd get a surgeon to permanently fix it.Nowadays, I regard they sew a mesh material into the muscle. Anyway, that's my $0.02.:)
