Rehabilitation after a broken leg?

My little brother (6 years old) broke his tibia bone in his leg while skiing. He had his kind on for 16 weeks. ( they changed it once).

His cast has immediately been off for almost a week and hes walking sideways still..is this typical? And what kind of psychological assistance can I provide him with? Are in attendance any physical activities we can have him doing to support get him walking again?

Answer:    you should probably have him see a physical psychoanalyst to have him regain the muscles in his leg and acquire him walking well again. 16 weeks is a long time! just notify him that he will be walking find soon and not to worry!
