Sciatica diagnosed; Musc/skel/Physio appt. 3 days AFTER I start WALKING hols Spain! Defer/Go/suffer?/stay?

I have difficulty walking currently and am in a great deal of pain but worse when I just stand still at a busstop. Walking's other been my "sport" and am due to walk for 5 days approx 12-14 miles a daylight! Also, I've already paid the airfare but only deposits on accomm. If I defer my appointment and travel, I may be no worse off but could I do permanent impairment?

Taking advil back surgery?

Er, you have difficulty walking but you want to go saunter 12-14miles per day? many race could not walk that length with no sciatica. You havent really said what the structure of the holiday is, do you way of walking 12 miles then stay somewhere else? or do you have a "base" hotel that you come final to? could you just go use the holiday as some free time to relax or do you own to walk? if you think in the order of it, one physio appointment isnt going to change very much, it wont be a duration changing event. it needs to be ongoing treatment. you may be disappointed to reverse your trip for a nonlife changing appointment, it will not work miracles. However, if you have no interest contained by going on holiday except to walk, and you can not walk, and assume it will just rub salt within your wounds that you cant walk then maybe you should cancel. I think you answered yourself when you said you enjoy difficulty walking currently, so whether or not it will do permanent damage (which you should check beside your doctor about or research more on sciatica and what it is and how its treated, etc etc) may be irrelevant as you may not be able to stride that far anyway. presumably it is a social trip so even if you dont walk perhaps you can stay at the substructure hotel and relax and enjoy these people's company when they get fund and they can tell you about it etc. or if you are moving remnant hotels maybe you could just catch a lift to the next rest nouns. i guess forgetting about the walking, do you want to go to spain or not? would it be nice to attain away? if not, perhaps you could deal in your place to someone else?
in the meantime waiting for your physio appointment, i would either try to take your own physio appointment (if you can afford it) or even maybe try accupuncture, it wont cure it by any means, but i found accupuncture releases endorphins that may facility the pain for a bit anyway (even if it wears off). Otherwise, conceivably physio, or massage, etc. may be cheaper in spain if you can find a place where on earth you are staying. I wouldnt push yourself to walk if you can not.
Just some ideas that you may be interested within thinking about. It would be a shame to cancel your holiday for one appointment specifically only the first of ongoing appointments. If you decide you do not want to jump to Spain, potentially you can get a doctors certificate as to why you can not attend and they may be more possible to refund your money, may be worth investigating...

Helpppp PLEASE?

Ring the physio department and ask if you can change your appointment. If they can't swing it, you need to think which is more high-status - getting your back pain sorted out or your walking holiday which may aggravate your condition further. You might know how to have a telephone consultation next to a physiotherapist, who will advise you.

What will come about if i save cracking my bones?

Ask your doctor about "walking" and doing "unwavering damage." If you get a "step ahead" you can ease your pain by going to WalMart and buying 2 "hiking pole"... 2 for $15 U.S.. They are telescoping poles that a ski poles near heavy rubber tips. They are great for walking on even or uneven ground. ...and walking speedily. They have a heavy rubber tip for unyielding surfaces. That tip unscrews and reveals a metal tip that is great for sand. If the sciatica starts to bother you and "catches" the poles will help save you from falling. They are small enough to fit in a suitcase and I've never have a problem getting them through customs. Check them in the store before you buy them to brand sure they work. Hiking poles are great even if you don't have sciatic. Your hands stay "up" instead of lifeless down and you get exercise in your arms as okay as your legs. Going uphill you can use your arms to "push" to help you up a steep incline. Go for it if your doctor says it's okay.
I own never let sciatica stop me from doing anything except playing tennis. I doubt too many race know I have an intermittent problem.
