Scoliosis and standing for long period of time?
About 4 years ago I had spinal surgery for my severe scoliosis problem, (my spine was severely curved)...So bleak the it looked like an 'S'. It's still curved but not as bad as past. I'm 17 now and I have a errand...problem is that my job is really bad. I hold to stand in one spot for about 5 hours, and at first I used to seize pains here and there, but then they would shift away eventually. Well, it's been about a month and my wager on pains are getting worse.My back is really stiff and sore..also, my left leg get numb sometimes.could these pains be from standing too long or from the fact that I have scoliosis?
And do you hold any adive on how to minimize the pain?

Answer: 1) Write a business epistle to your manager explaining your condition and request accommodation. Depending on your available job, you could be transferred to a different role that does not require you to stand, or you could be allowed to sit. GIVE THE LETTER TO THE GENERAL MANAGER and NOT TO A LOWER MANAGER.
2) In regard to the pain, consult a physician. Be clear contained by expressing that the pain has increased near your occupation. Get documentation from the doctor, if possible, and take anything advice he or she gives within regard to your occupation.
3) If the manager does not comply, wish employment elsewhere..
Anyone with or without scoliosis will hold numbness after standing for that long in 1 place. For your own health sanctuary please get another job,ASAP. I sympathize near you on the scoliosis since my sister had the same problem. She be the 1st person to receive the herrington rod to replace her spine. At the time she couldn't understand why God would put her through so much strain, surgery & having to wear a body cast for 1 year.Now 20 years latter she was in a coup¨¦ accident & it was the rod that save her life, because calcium had grown around the rod if not her back would have be broken. Please take care of yourself & find a different mission.
