Severe abdominal backache! PLEASE HELP ME!
okay so i've had sever stomach aches that are lower - contained by my intestine/bowels. i've had them for about three months and they're extremly discouraging. my doctor has put me on medication, but wont do anything other than oral exam my blood. He kind of asumes everything else, he thinks its cuz i be constipated but i have frequent bowel movements. i do get constipated, and i do gain pains from that. laxitives and stool softeners increase the pain. i cant stand taking them - what do i do - im getting an upper GI in a few days, would that point out any problems - and what can i do til consequently. schools starting soon so i've gotta do something - please - what can i do
Answer: I was contained by the same boat as you are in presently. I went to the doctor and I had a CT Scan. As it turns out, I hold 'Diverticulitis'.
I've been told that it's from lack of fiber within my diet. They told me that the pain is called a "Flare up". I'm not truism it's what you have, but the symptoms sound like. Instead of taking laxatives, try apple juice or a simply boil a pot of water, cover it. You can put it contained by the refrigerator or leave it sit out until it cools. Drink a nice glass of it, contained by no time it will flush you out. It's only sterilized water, no pesky chemicals..
What benevolent of medication did your doctor put you on? What does he think you have? You didn't convey us. An upper GI will only test purely that, your upper GI. If you are having problems in your lower colon nouns that is a lower GI. I think we call for more info, since your doctor ordered and upper GI, maybe he suspects something else? Maybe you have gallstones? Usually the GI will show what can be wrong inside your abdominal area. I would be guessing that you have gallstones or your gallbladder is vague. Glad you are getting that test done. Hopefully it will show what is wrong. Good luck and may your health be blessed..
Hopefully the upper GI will lend a hand find out what the problem is. If not, you may want to look into finding another doctor that specializes in stomach/digestive problems.

stir back to your doctor , and explain to him that his traetment didn't work , that you still have severe backache , if he didn't help you go to another doctor, am sure you will be OK past school start . Good luck. drink more fluids, lay off of iron (red meat,) and like mad of salads to start.
After the upper GI, it should show what is causing the blockage. .
it could be your gal-bladder you need to own it checked out i';d say go to the hospital's emergancy room and let somebody know them exactly what you typed here p.s. have someone else drive It won't affect your upper GI.
I'd ask the doc to refer you to another doc for a second opinion. Ask your upper GI doc more or less your lower GI symptoms..
my mother had those problems and they first diagnosed her with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome).turns out she acually have Crohn's Disease
I would discuss this with your DR.
see what the GI shows... if you dont feel approaching you are getting proper care, switch doctors. Just go to the doctor as soon as possible
