Hi was just wondering if in that are any doctors on here who specialise in this field? Had this in the region of 10 years ago. Had to get metal pins inserted into each hip. Recently though my hips own been quite sore, especially when I get up in the morning and sometime the pain is even surrounded by my knee. Although at times it feels as if its within the actual leg itself. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Is there any providence that they could have moved etc?

Once the slip is stabilized, with the pins, the bone will stop growing. Once you are over the age 21, bone growth stops. If you are elder than this, an Xray exam will show if there is any arthritis from the original condition. The pins or screw do nothing, after the bone heals, although a pin may migrate and incentive damage to the hip joint. A simple xray should show that. No obligation for an expensive MRI or CT scan.
