Spiders or bed bugs?
3 times over the past 3 weeks I have woke up scratch my arm or side due to bug bites. The first time I got a bite on my hip that swelled up. The second time I got 5 bites on my shoulder that also swelled. Last hours of darkness I got one bite on my same shoulder that did not swell but looked similiar.
My mom has stripped my entire bed and cleaned everything for me after respectively time it happened. I even moved my bed away from the window.
We only bought a new mattress hopefully that will solve the problem.. but what exactly is the problem?
I'm doubting its bed bugs. The doctor said they look like spider bites but is it usual for spiders to enter the bed to bite humans consistently?
What do you think my issue can be?
Answer: I just read an article in the region of bed bugs and even though it is a new mattress it could still have bed bugs within it. A lot of companies that sell new mattresses also refurbish mature ones. The refurbished ones are supposed to be inspected and sterilized but there is no law on HOW they are supposed to be sterilized so the bed bugs can still live. And their eggs will most feasible live through the sterilization. Changing your sheets and washing them well won't facilitate a bed bug problem.
As for the spiders, I've never heard of spiders biting someone several times, especially five in one darkness. My guess is the bed bugs but I don't know exactly how to tell you to get rid of them. Sorry I can't backing more.
could be a lot of things.
put a shallow dish of water lower than your bed and use the sticky bug trap stuff around the base of your bed. once you capture the culprit and reveal its true identity you should know how to get rid of the problem once and for all.
