Stung by some giving of insect, any give a hand beside what it could be?
about 9 hours ago i was playing volleyball outside. i be on the lawn and all of a sudden on my ankle i feel a sting (like a bee sting) and it didn't stop. i went to go sit down and it hurt more and more, a constant stinging. in attendance was something in my ankle, which looked approaching a large stinger resembling a small thorn. i can walk on the ankle but it is slightly swollen and hurts seriously when i even move it at all. does anybody know what may have possibly stung me? i own ice on it and i took some aleve. ice seem to help but it has be 9 hours and hurts just as bad as it did contained by the first place. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks =]
Answer: sounds similar to a Bee
I have been keeping honey bees for several years presently and i feel pretty confident about answering this one. Some form of benidryl or antihistamine will lend a hand with the itching and possibly the swelling if taken soon after the sting. You will receive lots of input about things approaching meat tenderizer, tobacco, baking soda an other topical treatments. they are all just wives tale. I have tried and none seam to work. the venom of a wasp is different than that of a honey bee. a honey bees toxin is an irritant used to defend the hive while a wasps venom is used to butcher its prey. My best advice is to not rub or scratch and agree to it run its course. it is normal for it to be sore for a couple of days
I have have stings itch and be sore for as little as a few minuets or as long as a weak.
It would be alright. Don't worry in the order of that. :) go to the hospital. no sting should still be hurting. and you might be having an allergic criticism
